1924 BUILDING PROSPECTUS BY FRIARS REALTY COMPANY TO RETURN HOME!
Brother Brent Tynan, one of our Canadian brothers is an avid collector of DKE memorabilia and an astute e-bay bidder. Brent
recently was the successful bidder on a 1924 Building Prospectus by the Friars Realty Company to raise funds for the construction
of the Zeta Zeta DKE House. Brother Tynan is making a gift of this valuable piece of Zeta Zeta history to our chapter and will make a presentation to us at the New Orleans Convention!
BATON ROUGE DEKE QUARTERLY LUNCH SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 14, 2006
It was decided that the lunches will be held regularly on the second Friday of the first month of each quarter. The next luncheon will take place noon, April 14, 2006. The staff at Juban's has treated us fine so we will continue to dine there until/unless the majority wants a location change. The price will remain at $20.00, all inclusive, and there will be a cash bar available serving adult beverages. Spread the word and join in on the brotherhood at these regular events. Any DEKE who is passing thru Baton Rouge is certainly welcome and any other Brother who wants to take a day trip should plan on attending.
The secret is out! Click on
the link below to view the article printed in the Reveille concerning our
return to campus. Its not as enthusiastic as one would hope, but it gets the
word out:
Delta Kappa Epsilon to return to campus
Here is a link to the article from The Advocate about the
Zeta Zeta chapter written a few years ago. Quite an interesting read:
The Dekes
Congratulations to Michael J. Rapier, Tau Lambda '58, for being honored as Rex
2005, King of Carnival! Brother Rapier follows
in a long line of Dekes who have had this honor bestowed upon them.
It is truly
remarkable that DKE Alumni continue to preside as the leaders of the free world while at the same time reign as the kings
of the largest party on the planet.
The active chapter has recently initiated 21 New Boys. They are excited to finally enter the Halls of Zeta Zeta.
